Collaborating

An idea comes first.

A question. A place. A possibility.
Something we can’t quite leave alone.

Then people gather around it.

Someone brings a way of seeing.
Someone brings a craft.
Someone knows the place.

What each person brings changes what the idea can become.

Who we make with

We work with people across disciplines and beyond them.

Artists. Architects. Developers.
Researchers. Makers. Ecologists.

And people whose knowledge doesn't fit neatly into a discipline.

Hassan wasn’t a hire. He was a fisherman who offered us a boat.

two kinds of playing

Play

Being pulled by the question is the whole requirement. Nobody asks what you’ve done before.

Play with a deadline

It has to hold together and it has to arrive. We bring people in for what they’re genuinely good at, name them on the work, and pay them.

What we’re around right now

A place for stories people stopped telling. Figuring out what the room should be.

The site is up. The part people would actually use is still unfinished.

Once you're in

A wrong turn taken in full moves something forward.

A right one held back doesn’t move anything.

Kindling

Our half-made things, before they’re anything.

Something pulling you?

Tell us what you’re making, exploring, learning, or unable to leave alone.

We don’t need a CV first. Show us the thing.
