The First Reading is where we listen. The Check-Up is where we investigate.

The Living System Check-Up

A two-week diagnostic for work that has outgrown the way it appears in the world.

Something is off

Drift rarely begins because one part breaks. It begins when what you mean, what people experience, and what you actually do slowly stop matching each other.

It happens quietly.

The product evolves. The team changes. The website falls behind. The language stays the same.

Before long, the outside no longer reflects what’s actually inside.

The Living System Check-Up reveals where that drift is happening — and why.

You don’t need a rebrand. You need to see where the system stopped matching itself.

Who it’s for

For people building something real that has outgrown the way it’s being understood.

If your work has evolved but the way the world encounters it hasn’t, this is where we start.

What we look at

We read the system through six forms of drift.

Identity

Digital Systems

Environments

Ritual & Ceremony

Relationships

Learning & Evolution

When people no longer understand what you’ve become.

You explain what you do, and it takes longer than it used to — different people describe you in completely different ways, and none of it quite fits anymore. Growth changes the work before the language around it catches up. We help the outside catch up with what’s already true on the inside.

Not every form applies to every system. Part of the reading is knowing which ones do — and whether the world has moved while your position stayed still.

How it works

We begin with a focused conversation. No questionnaires. No templates. Just careful observation and the right questions.

Over the following two weeks we study the system, find where relationships have drifted apart, and assemble your Living System Map — a visual reading of what remains coherent, where drift has appeared, and what deserves attention first.

What happens next

Some leave with enough clarity to continue on their own. Others ask us for the Realignment: a few weeks on the drift that matters most.

We only discuss that after you’ve seen the map.

Where this reading leads

This is how the work begins. On Qeshm Island it led to traditional fishing boats redesigned for eco-tourism — captains earning six times more as the mangroves recovered.
